The school was founded in 1965 by the Late Gungthang Tsultrim. It is a co-educational residential cum day school, run by Tibetan Nehru Memorial Foundation, Clement town (registered Society bearing Registration No.476 under the Society Registration Act of 1860). It aims primarily at the education of the Tibetan Refugees in India and the preservation of the Buddhist Cultural and religious heritage. Admission is open to all without any distinct of moral principals, and the preservation of our distinctive linguistic and cultural heritage are our chief aims.
