As per education policy of central Tibetan Administration, we are using Tibetan as a medium of instruction in infant and junior section. But school gives due importance of introducing English from the beginning. Unlike other Tibetan school we introduced GK as a separate subject in junior section and taught in English medium.
School encourage early reading programme based on five fundamental pillars of reading.
From class VI all the subjects are taught in English except Tibetan Language and Hindi Language. While teaching due importance is paid on concept teaching. The school uses different teaching aids such as over head projector, smart class, tapes and video clips accessing internet which makes teaching learning process interesting and build interest in learning.
The assessment structure and examination system for class VI to VIII based on CBSE guidelines. Students are assess broadly in two area 1) Scholastic Area 2)Co-scholastic Area as given below:
Scholastic Area: The assessment structure and examination for classes VI to VIII has been prepared in view of the provisions of RTE-Act 2009 and comprises of two terms i.e. Term-1 and 2 as explained below:

Co-Scholastic Activities (Classes VI-VIII):
For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out by the teachers and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale
(A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair).
The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:
(a) Work Education -skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community
(b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)
(c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Yoga/etc.)
Discipline (Classes VI-VIII): The students are assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, and tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.
Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale
